The final day of our stay is all about evaluating the activities during the past year: have we achieved our goals and in the right way? Also the finances are thoroughly discussed. Plans for the coming year are discussed and important is to never forget the question whether these plans fit the Foundation’s policy. A very important topic in this discussion is self-sufficiency. The people living in Ndegeya should never be dependent of our help, after a while they should be able to stand on their own feet. Whenever we have plans, we keep this in mind.
We would like to thank our team in Oeganda for their dedication because without these wonderful people we wouldn’t have been able to achieve these results.
They are very involved, transparent, reliable and motivated to work hard. We are very happy with them…and as Apollo always says: “Together we are a strong team”.
In the meantime we are back home in Holland and we look back at a wonderful time in Oeganda. We are happy to have been able to realise many plans the past year and that we made a difference for many people.
We want to make and develop new plans. That’s why the board of the Joanne Foundation will meet soon to discuss all the ideas and requests and ofcourse get a clear picture of the financial consequences.
