Uganda is one of the countries where malaria is most common. Malaria is even the number one cause of death among children under five years of age. One simple measure that can be taken is using mosquito nets. Apollo told us that most people in Ndegeya don’t have mosquito nets. That’s why the Joanne Foundation financed 86 mosquito nets. Apollo, Jane and nurse Kakande handed out the mosquito nets among the poorest families and nurse Kakande gave information to the people on how to combat the malaria mosquitoes. We hope we have contributed to the improvement of healthcare in Ndegeya.
